The Southern California Chapter of the AVS Science & Technology Society invites you to a Dinner Meeting.  We are pleased that Mike Hecht from JPL will be speaking. The talk will include discussion of Dr. Hecht's involvement with the Phoenix Lander mission, and the fascinating chemical and physical analyses they conducted on Martian Soil.   We are providing a "Meet and Greet" Networking Opportunity between 6:00 and 7:00 PM, dinner is at 7:00 PM, and Dr. Hecht's presentation will commence at 8:00 PM.  

The cost is $20 ($18 for AVS members, $10 for students), and includes a buffet dinner and attendance at the presentation.  The attached announcement gives detailed information on the meeting.  The deadline to register is September 23rd, but register early to ensure your place for this exciting event!
